We are under 30 days and we are getting closer to having everything locked & loaded. Not only have most people never heard of Slovenia (part of the former Yugoslavia) but for us to say we are staying in Ljubilana at a converted prison!
I was able to Jedi-mind-trick Patrick into buying me my DSLR that I now call my new love. Although she may not take better pictures, as Patrick informed me, “Still the same photographer” – I think my new love will help me reach see my vision more clearly. Or not so much since I love the idea of the auto-focus. =)
Last week was the week of finding new loves. #1 was the newest addition to our Cannon family & #2 - Fuck Buttons
Upon informing one of my co-workers my plans for the weekend included seeing the above mentioned band from Bristol, his reply was classic - “Oh they sound perfect for you, because they’ll never get played on the radio.”
Of course the show blew my socks off. I absolutely adore experimental noise rock at deafening levels. It was beautiful, tribal & at one point they connected a Game Boy to add beats. It was awesome. The headliners Caribou bored Patrick, but I was in the mood and stuck with it.
A couple little tasty treats...
Sadly Rob & Big had their Series Final this week. The shenanigans those two get into would make Patrick and I laugh out loud many many times. It will be missed.
Turns out I do need an Iced out Meaty shirt.

I don't know how someone controlled you...
We started a new category of 'Cool Shit from the TiVo' because the below is exactly that...
**I've had to replace this video once, so don't be surprised if it "goes away" again.
It's Jake Shimabukuro, playing 'While my guitar gently weeps'. Amazing.
Conan said (multiple times) out of all of the performances he had seen on the show this was his favorite. It's really amazing and I need the album now. Turns out I love the solo guitar action.
Maybe in March I'll get back on posting things besides videos.
We have been out & about a ton lately. Over the holidays I snuggled with Mr. King & Mr. Sparhawk, we added some fun things to the house, we had a party, I made the toughest pot roast in all of NE & the best the best meal ever of braised short ribs within the same 2 weeks, we're going up north soon and we've booked tickets to Iceland/Europe.
Things have been pretty kick ass.
